Philology students of Donetsk University receive certificates of UNN Summer School
The Summer School for philology students of the Donetsk State University (DonSU) concluded at UNN. The training sessions were held for two weeks. On July 28, the participants of the Summer School received certificates confirming the successful completion of their studies.
Taking part in the school were 19 students and two lecturers of DonSU. The lectures were delivered by the leading professors of the UNN Institute of Philology and Journalism. An extensive excursion programme was also organised for the guests.
"The participants of the Summer School were able not only to study, enrich their arsenal of knowledge, which is certainly important and which was the main goal, but also to have a very good rest. According to their feedback, they fell in love with our city, appreciated its beauty and vast spaces. They enjoyed absolutely all the excursions, and we felt their heartfelt response. They visited all the city’s key museums, the whole program was received with great gratitude, and it was obvious that they were interested in learning and in new experience. Therefore, I believe that the Summer School worked out very well", said Irina Abramova, Deputy Director for Educational Work of the UNN Institute of Philology and Journalism, who was the manager of this project.
The main goal of the project is to contribute to the professional training of future teachers of the Russian language and literature in the Donetsk People's Republic. The summer school for students of the Donetsk State University was held on the initiative and with the support of the Russian World Foundation. According to the school participants, the two weeks were very busy.
"Our two weeks at the Summer School went by very quickly. Our group took a course of lectures on the Russian language and literature by professors of Lobachevsky University. In addition to studying in classrooms, we visited many beautiful and historical places, including the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin, the City of Masters in Gorodets, and the Shchelokovsky Khutor museum village. My experience at the Summer School was very rewarding: I had a good rest and a lot of pleasant impressions. We thank the organisers for this opportunity!", shared Alina Brodetskaya, a Donetsk State University student.
The participants of the programme were offered lectures on a variety of topics, including "Basics of studying language mentality", "Unique word parts", "New trends in Russian punctuation", "Language of values in the modern Russian language picture of the world", "Literary worlds of Lobachevsky".
