Physics and mathematics teachers complete professional development programme at Lobachevsky University
91 secondary school teachers of physics, mathematics and astronomy took part in the professional development programme at the Centre for Continuing Professional Development of Teaching Staff at Lobachevsky University's Faculty of Professional Development and Retraining. The training programme that focused on implementing the requirements of the updated federal educational standards in the work of physics and mathematics teachers started on June 19.
The on-site module was held at Lobachevsky University's Zarya student sports and recreation camp. The participants practised their skills in developing content and organising the teaching process in the context of subject teaching in mathematics and physics in different types of educational organisations and at different levels of education. The graduates of this programme - teachers from Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow regions - are able to analyse, evaluate and apply modern forms, methods and tools of teaching and education in classroom practice.
During the closing ceremony, Yulia Bureeva, Dean of the UNN Faculty of Professional Development and Retraining, presented professional development certificates to programme participants.
The Centre for Continuing Professional Development provides continuing education for teaching staff members that takes into account the analysis of their needs in the development of professional competencies.
