Presentation of the Center for Innovative Development of Medical Instrument Engineering

On September 12, a presentation of the Center for Innovative Development of Medical Instrument Engineering was held at Lobachevsky University. The event took place within the framework of the All-Russian Scientific Forum "The Science of the Future - the Science of the Young". The Center was visited by Deputy Minister of Education and Science Grigory Trubnikov. During the tour, the guests visited the laboratory of medical rehabilitation, the laboratory of psycho-physiological examination of professional competencies, the laboratory of genetic engineering and molecular-cell technologies, the laboratory of mathematical modeling and development of brain-machine technologies and a number of other laboratories. UNN researchers demonstrated their latest results: a robotic complex for the rehabilitation of patients with impaired functions of the lower limbs, the concept of "smart clothes" that tracks activity of muscles in the human body (EOS Cybertrainer), the "human-computer" neural interface, new methods for cancer diagnosis and other developments in the field of biomedicine, neurotechnology, information technology and environmental management.
The construction of the Center became possible thanks to the Federal Target Program "Development of the pharmaceutical and medical industry for 2013-2020". In total, six such innovation centers will be built in Russia.
