Residency programme in functional diagnostics to open at Lobachevsky University
Starting in 2026, the UNN Institute of Biology and Biomedicine (IBBM) will open a residency programme specialising in functional diagnostics.
Functional diagnostics is one of the most rapidly developing fields in medicine. New technologies and highly sensitive instruments enable the detection of abnormalities at early stages swiftly, without pain, and without any harm to health. Experts in this area are currently in great demand in hospitals across the Nizhny Novgorod region and the entire country.
IBBM residents will learn cutting-edge methods for examining the functioning of the heart, blood vessels, nervous system, and other organs. The training will be conducted at UNN and the leading medical centres in Nizhny Novgorod.
The 2-year full-time residency programme is intended for graduates of specialist programmes in the fields of "General Medicine", "Pediatrics", "Medical Biophysics" and "Medical Cybernetics". Residency programme graduates will receive the qualification of "Medical Doctor in Functional Diagnostics".
