Round table on career opportunities held at Lobachevsky University
Lobachevsky University hosted a round table “University - a Space of Career Opportunities”. The initiators and organizers were the UNN Human Resources Department and the UNN Institute of Economics. The event was attended by more than 60 interested students.
The round table presented the most remarkable stories of successful careers of UNN graduates within the university. Its participants considered possible career trajectories for employees of different job categories, including science and education, as well as prospects for their development, including opportunities for international internships. The realities of the modern labour market were demonstrated, and the mechanisms for training and further retention of postgraduate students at the university were outlined.
Featured speakers included Tatyana Laponog, Head of the UNN HR Department, Anna Guryanova, Head of the HR Development Department at the Ministry of Human Resources Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Roman Golubin, Dean of the UNN Faculty of Social Sciences, Svetlana Romanenko, Head of UNN Career Centre, Nikolai Rybakov, Deputy Director of the UNN Institute of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies, Konstantin Kemaev, Head of the UNN International Cooperation Department. The moderator was Alyona Garanina, Deputy Director of the UNN Institute of Economics.
Personnel support and development is a priority area in the University's activities. UNN implements a range of measures and mechanisms aimed at attracting and retaining young professionals at Lobachevsky University. There are plenty of opportunities for development and successful career building, which was demonstrated by the round table speakers.
This event marked the start of a new project aimed at attracting young professionals to find employment at UNN. The dates of the following meetings with the student community will be announced very soon.
