Russia and Ibero-America: UNN delegation takes part in the expert forum
A delegation from Lobachevsky University’s Institute of International Relations and World History (IIRWH) took part in the seventh international forum “Russia and Ibero-America in a Turbulent World: From Shared Challenges to Joint Solutions”. The forum was hosted on October 1–3 by Saint Petersburg State University and the Institute of Latin America of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The conference section titled "Integration Processes and Multilateral Cooperation of Latin American and Global South States in the Context of the World Order Transformation" was moderated by representatives of Lobachevsky University: Mikhail Rykhtik, Director of IIRWH, and Maria Gorbunova, Head of the Department of World Economy and Customs at the UNN Institute of Economics.
During the event, UNN representatives also delivered their presentations. Mikhail Rykhtik presented a study on "Cooperation in the Transformation of the World Order: Lessons from Latin American Countries," while Maria Gorbunova spoke about the strategic resource potential of MERCOSUR and the EAEU amid the changing world order.
Faculty members of the Institute of International Relations and World History Anna Tsymbalova, Sergei Usachev, Alexander Bushov, and Daria Merkulova also presented their reports on a range of issues concerning socio-political and economic processes in Latin America in the context of this region’s international relations.
