Lobachevsky University is hosting a Russian language summer school for students and teachers of the Laza Kostić gymnasium from the Serbian city of Novi Sad, sister city of Nizhny Novgorod. The summer school is organized with the support of the International Relations Committee of the Nizhny Novgorod Administration. For two weeks, students and teachers from Serbia will have Russian classes, get acquainted with Russian culture and folklore, visit Nizhny Novgorod museums. They will also have ample opportunities for communicating with Russian students, who in turn will be able to practice their Serbian language. Elena Mishina, the chairperson of the Nizhny Novgorod Administration's International Relations Committee, says that Novi Sad is one of the most active sister cities of Nizhny Novgorod and the Laza Kostić gymnasium often takes part in joint Russian-Serbian cultural and educational projects.
