School and Conference “Neuroelectronics and Neurotechnologies of the Future” opens in Nizhny Novgorod
On November 25, the First School and Conference “Neuroelectronics and Neurotechnologies of the Future” opened at the Record Culture Centre in Nizhny Novgorod. It brought together more than one hundred participants from Moscow, Moscow and Vladimir regions, Nizhny Novgorod, St. Petersburg, Rostov-on-Don, Cheboksary, Kaliningrad, as well as scientists from universities in China, South Korea, Italy, India, Spain, Serbia, Portugal, Germany, and Great Britain.
The event which is organised by Lobachevsky University is taking place from November 25 to 29. The partners of the school & conference are autonomous nonprofit organiszations “NEIMARK”, “Nizhny Novgorod Research and Education Centre”, “GorkyTech”, and LLC “Polyketone”.
“The content of this conference is fully correlated with the scope of the strategic project “Electronic Components and Materials“, one of the three strategic projects of Lobachevsky University’s development within the Priority 2030 programme. This is one of the leading areas of R&D at UNN. It was Professor Victor Kazantsev and Alexey Mikhaylov, Director of the Research Centre “Physics of Solid State Nanostructures”, who first connected microelectronics and neurotechnology at our university and became the founders of a new multidisciplinary field. Today, we see great progress and great prospects on this path”, noted Mikhail Gryaznov, UNN Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation, at the opening ceremony.
The main programme of the school & conference includes the following breakout sessions: “Biosimilar electronic nanomaterials”; “New hardware components of brain-like information and computing systems”; “Neuromorphic computing systems”; “Neurotechnologies and biomorphic robotics”.
