Science as a priority: Lobachevsky University ranks among Russia’s top 40 universities

Lobachevsky University has confirmed its status as one of the leading universities in Russia, taking the 36th place in the ranking of the best universities in Russia compiled by the RAEX rating agency.

The university demonstrated its strongest performance in the "Research Activity Level" category, ranking 21st among all higher education institutions in the country.

Since its debut in 2012, the RAEX ranking has been recognised as one of the most credible assessments of higher education quality in Russia. For the 2026 list, the agency's analysts examined statistical data from 213 leading universities and reviewed survey responses from over 160,000 participants, including employers, academic and scientific community representatives, students, and alumni.
