Science Picnic "42" at Lobachevsky University
On August 25, Lobachevsky University hosted on its campus the science picnic "42" - an open-air meeting of those who love science and technology, which included numerous presentations of scientists and science popularizers. Robotics fans were given a chance to assemble their own drones and to take part in the drone race. At one of the festival sites, visitors could use RobotON robotics construction sets and 3D printers and attend a master class where one could assemble and program a robot printed on a 3D printer. At the same time, they had a chance of winning printed models in different competitions.
For all comers, a master class on animation was arranged, and after that one could go to an open-air cinema and a virtual planetarium. For the youngest guests, the Galileo Park of Wonders opened its doors: an interactive exhibition where rooms, exhibits and constructions showed how the surrounding world works in many an unusual ways. The festival also included a book fair where one could find popular scientific literature, as well as books on cultural studies, philology and art. However, the main reason for organizing the festival was the interaction between the visitors and scientists who gave many interesting lectures and answered numerous questions. Information about all the speakers can be found at the festival group: https://vk.com/42fest. The festival was organizeв by the UNN Science Park “Lobachevsky Lab”.
