Science Slam is a science communication format where young scientists explain their research projects in short 10-minute-talks that are easy to follow and afterwards the audience gets to vote – by means of applause. On May 31, five researchers from various scientific fields will compete for the first place on the stage of the Fidel Club.
The following young researchers will present their reports to the audience:
· Anna Petrovicheva, an expert in computer training - about computer vision;
· Psychophysiologist Yulia Mansurova - on the study of the brain of drug-dependent people;
· Engineer Pavel Khazov – about the way scientists help build houses that can withstand earthquakes;
· Petr Zemlyanukha, junior researcher at the Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences - about the formation of massive stars;
· Mathematician Olga Kapitanova - about human capital.
