The Huawei Honor Cup 2020 regional festival has started at Lobachevsky University. 

More than 13 thousand students and early-career professionals from Russia and the CIS are participating in the Huawei Honor Cup 2020 online festival. 

The opening ceremony was attended by Wu Sai, Vice President of Huawei Eurasia Region, who spoke about how important it is in today's world to support young professionals on the verge of the fourth industrial revolution: "I am very pleased that Huawei Honor Cup 2020 starts today at Lobachevsky University. Thanks to those participating in the festival today, we understand that progress is not standing still: sustainable development is more important than ever. Science is the engine of society's development and Huawei is happy not only to see young professionals in its ranks, but also to build a new future together with them!" 

Elena Zagaynova, Rector of Lobachevsky University, greeted the festival participants and organizers and wished good luck to the students taking part in the quiz: "I sincerely congratulate everyone on this brilliant digital event. You are really standing at the cusp of new discoveries in our life. The world is changing, which is also proved by the transformations that have been introduced throughout the country since March. Our studies and communication have gone online in many ways, and the fact that we can now participate in the online festival organized by our friends, Huawei, is a logical transformation of everyday life. Today, we have a unique opportunity to start developing new intelligent systems and applications. I wish all participants success and good luck in their discoveries!"
