On November 9, a seminar on the topic "Regions of Transcaucasia and Central Asia in the Period of International Transformations" was held in the UNN Fundamental Library. It was organized by the Department of Foreign Regional Studies and Local History of the UNN Institute of International Relations and World History to discuss the evolution of Russia's policy, CSTO activities in the South Caucasus and Central Asia, some specific features in the implementation of foreign policy interests of Iran, Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as the development of expert and analytical institutions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. The reports made by professors and students were followed by a professional discussion on the ways for the development of Transcaucasia and Central Asia with the account of Russia’s interests, which stands for building a multipolar world.
