Setting the pace: Lobachevsky University’s swimming team wins the League Cup

The swimming team of Lobachevsky University took part in the All-Russian student competitions "League Cup"held from October 1 to October 5 in Ruza (Moscow region). At this tournament, the university came first in the team standings of its division.

Overall, UNN athletes won 13 medals, including six gold, four silver, and three bronze medals.

Anna Prokofieva demonstrated a successful performance in individual events, winning three races at the 50- and 100-metre freestyle distances, as well as the 100-metre butterfly. She also became a prize-winner in three relay races.

Elena Bogomolova took first place in the 50- and 100-metre breaststroke events and earned a bronze medal in the 100-metre individual medley. In the relay races, Elena climbed the podium three times.

Pyotr Vasiliev and Maxim Evdokimov became silver medallists in the 100-metre butterfly and 50-metre backstroke, respectively. Alexander Sorokin won a bronze medal in the 100-metre breaststroke.

In the relay races, in addition to their triumph in the mixed 4×50-metre medley, the UNN team also won two silver medals and one bronze medal.
