Sporting event under the "Sport Streets" project in Gorodets

A sporting event of the regional project "Sport Streets" took place in Gorodets on 17 September. Elena Chumankina, UNN Vice-Rector for Youth Policy, took part in the opening ceremony. Guests and participants of the sporting event were also welcomed by Alexander Mudrov, Head of Gorodets municipal district, and Yaroslav Kuchev, Youth Sports Minister of the Nizhny Novgorod region and staff member of the UNN Youth Policy Department.
In the central park of Gorodets, open training sessions and master classes were held for all comers, including: 

• kettlebell lifting
• parcours/tricking
• skateboarding
• Kyokushinkai karate
• slackline
• juggling.

Moreover, athletes conducted an inclusive training session for physically challenged people.

On the same day, the project organisers held open training sessions and a fitness competition in Chkalovsk. Local residents came to the event with their whole families and those showing best results received gifts.

"Sport Streets" is a regional project aimed at creating conditions for the physical development of teenagers and young workers in various street sports through open training sessions and outdoor master classes at more than 15 venues in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The project is implemented with grant support from the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.
