Strong in combat: UNN students win medals at prestigious tournament in Minsk

The 30th International Sambo Tournament for the prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus was held in Minsk. The competition brought together the strongest athletes from Russia, Germany, Israel, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

Two students of Lobachevsky University, competing in the discipline of combat sambo, achieved remarkable success in the prestigious tournament. Valery Ergalov, a student from the UNN Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, became the winner in the 58 kg weight category, while his classmate Ivan Zaitsev secured the bronze medal in the 64 kg category.
