"Summer in Russian" International School concluded at UNN
The international school "Summer in Russian" is over at Lobachevsky University. It was attended by young people from Serbia, China and Poland.
"It seems that only recently we opened our school and became acquainted with each other, but now it's time to say goodbye. However, I really hope that you will come back to our university and to Nizhny Novgorod. We look forward to seeing you again! Maybe you will come for another course in the Russian language, maybe once more for the summer school, or you will become our bachelor's or master's students. Or maybe someone will come to enrol in our postgraduate programme. You are always welcome!" - said Ekaterina Smirnova, Head of the UNN Department for International Student Affairs.
During the three weeks, the students had a chance to gain a closer insight into Russian culture, improve their language skills, visit Nizhny Novgorod parks, museums, production sites, they also had excursions and boat trips. Employees of the UNN Centre for Educational Programmes for Foreigners Anna Petryanina and Anastasia Gudkova together with volunteers provided support to the foreign guests in learning Russian.
"The classes were very interesting and the teacher was very responsible. In the process of learning Russian, I also learnt about Russian traditional culture and gained a lot of new knowledge. Many thanks to this summer camp for allowing us to learn more about Russia!", shared Ding Yishan from Shanghai.
At the closing ceremony, all the summer school participants were issued certificates of programme completion.
The UNN Centre for Educational Programmes for Foreigners has been running the summer school project for about 10 years.
