Opera Medica et Physiologica

One of the world's largest scientific publishing houses, Elsevier, has updated the list of Russian journals that are indexed in their Scopus database. At the moment, it includes 520 Russian publications, bibliographic parameters have been calculated for 418, and 12 are in the first quartile, which means that they are among the leaders in their respective fields. The international journal Opera Medica et Physiologica is listed in the updated Scopus list under No. 508. The full list of publications is available on the official website.

The journal Opera Medica et Physiologica was launched at the UNN in 2016 as part of the program for the development of biomedical research and education. The journal is published in English and accepts scientific papers in the field of biomedical research, including experimental papers and review articles. Articles are subject to rigorous selection by reviewers who are recognized international experts in this field of research. The editorial board includes leading scientists from 5 countries: Russia, Germany, Japan, USA, and Great Britain. The first issue of the journal was published in March 2016.

The journal appears 4 times a year. An important advantage of the journal is that the articles, once accepted, promptly appear online with the mark “ahead of print”. This is extremely important in the modern dynamic world of science, when every day is important for the priority of the discovery. This is also a significant progress compared to a number of journals in Russia, where the authors have to wait for months for their articles to be published and potentially risk losing the priority of their discovery. Opera Medica et Physiologica is an Open Access Journal: it is freely available on the Internet.
