The South Korean Embassy delegation visited Lobachevsky University
On December 05, 2019 the Plenipotentiary Minister of the South Korean Embassy in the Russian Federation Lee Jin Hyun visited Lobachevsky University.
In the framework of the visit there was a meeting with representatives of Lobachevsky University, the Department of International Relations of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Representation of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Nizhny Novgorod.
The parties discussed the possible areas of cooperation between Lobachevsky University and the South Korean Embassy including the increase in the number of exchange students and staff members and establishing partnership with other Korean universities (Lobachevsky University’s partners in South Korea are Dankook University and Sungkyunkwan University). The Korean Embassy delegation suggested opening a Korean Center at Lobachevsky University in view of the fact that since 2020 the Korean language will be taught at Lobachevsky University’s Institute of International Relations and World History. The parties also discussed the possibility of visiting the Korean Embassy by Russian students studying international relations in the framework of the program implemented together with the Representation of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Nizhny Novgorod.
After the meeting the Plenipotentiary Minister Lee Jin Hyun delivered a lecture «Russia and Korea: what comes next?» for Lobachevsky University students.
