Three educational programmes of Lobachevsky University pass international accreditation
In December 2023, the Accreditation Council of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating - IAAR (Republic of Kazakhstan), based on the results of external evaluation, approved three educational programmes of Lobachevsky University that meet the necessary requirements for international accreditation. The agency gave high marks to the specialist programmes 31.05.01 "General Medicine" and 31.05.03 "Dentistry" of the UNN Institute of Clinical Medicine, as well as the area of study 02.03.02 "Fundamental Informatics and Information Technology" (bachelor's degree) of the UNN Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics.
"IAAR accreditation confirms the compliance of our education with international standards, enhances the status of our university and gives our graduates a competitive advantage in the labour market," said Oleg Trofimov, Acting Rector of Lobachevsky University.
According to Natalia Grigoryeva, Acting Director of the UNN Institute of Clinical Medicine, accreditation guarantees the recognition of the university's diplomas and the right to be certified by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG):
"This is essential for pursuing further medical education or obtaining a medical licence abroad, while ensuring that the qualifications obtained by our graduates will be fully relevant and recognised throughout the European Higher Education Area."
