Starting from September 1, three bachelor's degree programmes in IT will be launched at Lobachevsky University. To implement the programmes, UNN partners with one of Russia's largest employers in the field of IT, the T1 holding company.

These study programmes cover the most promising areas in the labour market, from mathematical modelling and artificial intelligence to programming industrial and corporate IT systems. The curricula have been developed with the active participation of T1, and the holding company's experts will also teach some specialised subjects. Personalised scholarships and internships at T1 will be offered to the best students. Practice-oriented training will prepare graduates for positions at the middle+ level upon completion of their studies.

"The current IT training system at UNN is based on a solid theoretical foundation, incorporating scientific research into the educational process and involving students in real-world projects with partner companies. Through T1's involvement in the Top-IT project, the university will enhance the practical aspect of education. Students will acquire additional expertise in areas such as software engineering and software development," comments Nikolai Zolotykh, Director of the UNN Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics.

Collaborating on educational initiatives with the leading IT company T1 is a significant investment in the human capital of the Nizhny Novgorod region. This partnership allows the region to position itself as a leader in training professionals for the rapidly evolving sectors of the economy.

"We see our mission not only in creating innovative solutions, but also in fostering a talent pool for the entire industry. For T1 holding company, participating in the development of educational programmes is a strategic step toward training highly skilled personnel, without which it is impossible to implement large-scale digitalisation projects. Our joint training programmes with universities will help students acquire the skills and knowledge required by employers, including T1," said Ekaterina Kolesnikova, Deputy Director General of T1 holding company for Human Resources.
