Through the ages: UNN introduces international students to the history of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair

As part of the celebration of World Tourism Day, third-year students from the UNN Institute of Economics, specialising in Tourism joined the All-Russian campaign "Student Tourism on the Move". They organised and conducted a themed excursion-quest called "Nizhny Novgorod Fair Through the Ages" for international students of Lobachevsky University.

The event's participants solved thematic riddles and crosswords, and performed interactive tasks  related to the cultural and historical heritage of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

The quest contributed to familiarisinginternational students with the history and traditions of Nizhny Novgorod. It also provided future professionals in the field of tourism with an opportunity to put their knowledge into practice and develop skills in guided tours and intercultural communication. At the same time, the event strengthened friendly and professional ties among the university’s international student community. The project was organised and led by Professor Marina Efremova and Associate Professors Olga Savelyeva and Olga Ryabova.
