A training workshop on project development under the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet programme was held at Lobachevsky University on January 19. The event was organised within the framework of the Priority 2030 Programme by the UNN International Cooperation Office together with the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet National Office in Russia. Taking part in the workshop were teaching staff members from different faculties and institutes of Lobachevsky University as well as employees of the University’s international services. Participation in the event was possible in the face-to-face format at the Scientific Demonstration Hall and online using the Zoom platform.

Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. He noted the exceptional importance of the event for Lobachevsky University as a long-term participant in the Erasmus+ programme,  especially in view of its new phase for the period 2021-2027.

Natalia Aksenova, Administrator of the Erasmus+ National Office in Russia, gave an overview of the new opportunities for Russian Erasmus+ programme participants and explained in detail the terms of the 2022 competition under the Erasmus+ Jean Monnet programme. She also presented an analysis of some practical aspects of preparing applications for this programme and gave some useful recommendations to programme participants from Lobachevsky University.

Anna Viktorova, also representing the Erasmus+ National Office, provided exhaustive information on technical aspects of submitting applications for the programme. All seminar participants received expert’s answers to their questions.

Concluding the workshop, moderator Alexander Gorylev, Deputy Head of the UNN International Cooperation Office, thanked the speakers noting that the guidance provided by the Erasmus+ National Office will help the staff of Lobachevsky University to prepare the highest quality applications for the Erasmus+ Programme.

Workshop participants were also given the opportunity to receive training in the professional development programme "International Project Management" run by the UNN International Cooperation Office.
