"Universities of Technological Leadership": UNN delegation takes part in the strategy session
The strategy session "Universities of Technological Leadership" took place in Moscow. It brought together representatives from federal authorities, industry partners, financial institutions, and top Russian universities involved in the Priority 2030 programme. The event was organised by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Technological Leadership Centre of Gazprombank.
The delegation from Lobachevsky University included Rector Oleg Trofimov, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and International Affairs Alexander Bedny, and Alexey Mikhaylov, who leads the strategic technology project "Neuromorphic and Quantum Technologies of Artificial and Hybrid Intelligence" within the UNN development programme "Priority 2030". The university delegation was accompanied by Ekaterina Solntseva, Deputy Chairperson of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The strategy session programme comprised a series of open discussions, workshops, and technology-focused sessions addressing key aspects of developing universities as centres of technological leadership in Russia. Discussions focused on the role of the programme in establishing a research and innovation basis for the Russian economy. Participants discussed approaches to transforming university potential into practical technologies and products that are in demand by industry and businesses.
In the course of the session, thematic tracks were held, including discussions on assessing the effectiveness of using budget funds, forming a new model of interaction between science, business and financial institutions. Presentations of university technology companies and projects to industrial partners and investment funds were also made. The day concluded with a range of specialised discussions, including a Rectors’ Club meeting and a practical seminar titled "New prospects for technological project development," where key directions for the further advancement of the Priority 2030 programme for 2025-2026 were examined.
The participation of the UNN delegation in this strategy session allowed the university to contribute to the discussion on the pressing issues of the nation's technological development and confirmed Lobachevsky University’s active role in implementing the Priority 2030 programne.
