UNN and Havana Science and Technology Park to develop academic exchange and research

Lobachevsky University and Havana Science and Technology Park at the University of Information Technology (Cuba) have signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of education and science. The signing ceremony took place today at the All-Russian Conference "Digitalization of Industrial Russia" (CIPR-2024), which is taking place at the Nizhny Novgorod Trade Fair from 21 to 24 May 2024.

The agreement signed by Oleg Trofimov, Rector of Lobachevsky University, and Hector Rodriguez Figueredo, Vice President of Havana Science and Technology Park, provides for international academic mobility of students, researchers and teachers, exchange of information and joint publications in scientific journals, organisation of joint conferences, seminars and academic meetings.

According to UNN Rector Oleg Trofimov, Lobachevsky University's cooperation with Cuban partners began in 2017:

"UNN has a framework agreement with the University of Information Sciences, where the Havana Science and Technology Park is based. The agreement signed today with the Havana Science and Technology Park will enrich our cooperation with concrete content in the field of innovation and research activities, expand our opportunities and create a new space for developing innovations and technologies in our countries".
