Lobachevsky University's “Boiling Point” venue hosted a round table that brought together the heads of higher education institutions' Career Centres and representatives of major companies in Nizhny Novgorod.

The meeting was organised by the United Career Centre founded at Innopolis University, and Lobachevsky University.

Svetlana Romanenko, Head of the UNN Career Centre, spoke at the event on behalf  of Lobachevsky University. She made a report sharing the experience of the Career Centre with her colleagues.

Also taking part in the round table were UNN partners - representatives of the region's leading employers: Elena Saygina, Deputy General Director for Personnel of JSC NNIIRT; Ekaterina Petrova, Leading Specialist of JSC Sibur-Neftekhim; Igor Pozumentov, Director of Neoflex branch; Nadezhda Glumenkova, Coordinator of Educational Projects at Gorky Automobile Plant.

During the meeting, the participants reached agreements on modernising the structure and functioning of career centres, and new interaction formats between universities and employers were agreed upon. Particular attention was paid to the introduction of effective routes to support students on the way from education to professional realisation.

The event was an important step in strengthening the link between universities and business, aimed at improving the quality of training and employment of young professionals.
