UNN delegation takes part in the International Exhibition-Conference APAIE 2018
A delegation of Lobachevsky University took part in the International Educational Conference and Exhibition APAIE 2018, which was held in Singapore from March 25 to 29, 2018. In recent years, APAIE has become the world's leading platform for dialogue and exchange of experience of the world's leading experts and discussion of key issues in higher education in the Asia-Pacific Region. This year, Russia’s leading universities participated in this international forum in the Asia-Pacific Region for the third time. In Singapore, the UNN was represented along with 18 other participants of the 5-100 Project. The UNN delegation was headed by Rector E.V. Chuprunov and included Vice-Rector for International Affairs A.B. Bedny and Vice-Rector for Public Relations N.V. Avralev.
The main topic of this year’s forum was "The Impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution on Higher Education in the Asia-Pacific Region." Representatives of higher education organizations from around the world also discussed the development of student mobility in the context of higher education globalization, international research exchanges and cooperation. In the course of plenary and panel sessions, more than 100 representatives of universities and professional organizations from all over the world visited the UNN stand that made part of the Russian Project 5-100 pavilion. UNN representatives had more than 15 meetings with foreign partners from China, South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Mexico, France, Germany and Spain. During these meetings, issues related to the creation of joint student exchange programs, international research projects, joint application for Russian and international grants, including joint participation in the European Commission’s Erasmus+ program were discussed. As an outcome, cooperation agreements were signed between Lobachevsky University and Dankook University (South Korea).
As a follow-up of Lobachevsky University’s participation in this forum, work will be carried out to identify new directions for the university internationalization and for developing a network of UNN’s international partnerships.
