UNN faculty members named winners of the contest “Znanie. Lecturer”

On February 5, the National Centre “Russia” in Moscow hosted the awarding ceremony of the winners of the 4th season of the All-Russian contest “Znanie. Lecturer” held by the Russian Society “Znanie”. The winners included 70 lecturers from 37 regions of Russia. The finalists representing the Nizhny Novgorod region and Lobachevsky University were Valeria Demareva, Head of the Cyberpsychology Department at the Faculty of Social Sciences, and Vladislav Shablov, Assistant Lecturer of the Political Science Department at the Institute of International Relations and World History.

Valeria Demareva and Vladislav Shablov were awarded the honorary title “Best Educator of Russia”.

“It is very encouraging to see our faculty members achieve recognition at such a high level. I sincerely congratulate my colleagues! They faced a serious competition and showed a brilliant result, which clearly demonstrated the achievements of our university in the field of education”, said UNN Rector Oleg Trofimov.

The fourth season of the All-Russian competition “Znanie. Lecturer” was held from April 23, 2024 to February 5, 2025. Over 19,000 contestants from all regions of Russia took part in it, including over 5,000 school students in a special category. Participants prepared their lectures on 14 contest topics and went through a multi-stage selection process, which included training in public speaking, lecturing in their respective regions, and interviews with experts.
