UNN graduates work successfully in half of Russia’s regions

The Ministry of Education and Science of Russia recently conducted a monitoring of university graduates employment. According to the monitoring results, the share of employed graduates of Lobachevsky University in 2016 was 85%, with an average Russian rate of 75%. The UNN indicator exceeds the average for the group of institutions participating in the 5-100 Project (79%) and the average among national research universities (82%). Also, according to the monitoring results, 72% of the UNN graduates remain in the Nizhni Novgorod region, which is a good indicator. At the same time, the geography of Lobachevsky University graduates’ employment is quite extensive: they work successfully in 44 regions of Russia (which amounts to one half of the country’s regions).

In total, the monitoring included the data on more than 1 million 267 thousand of the 2015 graduates concerning their employment in 2016. The data were provided by the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, Rosobrnadzor and higher education institutions. The average salary of full-time graduates during the first year of their work was higher than in the previous year and amounted to 27 770 roubles a month.
