UNN historians co-author the book "Eight Centuries of Nizhny Novgorod History"
Historians of Lobachevsky University co-authored the popular science book "Eight Centuries of Nizhny Novgorod History". The authors' group included Fyodor Drozdov and Alexei Morokhin from the UNN Institute of International Relations and World History, and Professor Andrei Kuznetsov from the Department of Business Culture and Psychology of the UNN Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship. The new book covers the history of Nizhny Novgorod from its foundation to the present day. For the first time in half a century, an attempt to summarize the whole history of the city on a modern scientific level was made. The presentation of the two-volume illustrated edition will take place at 10:00 on June 11 at the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University.
The book "Eight Centuries of Nizhny Novgorod History" was prepared within the framework of the program of the city anniversary celebration, with the participation of representatives of leading scientific, educational and cultural institutions of the region. It is the result of joint efforts of colleagues from six Nizhny Novgorod universities: Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University, Lobachevsky University, State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, Minin Pedagogical University, Russian State Open Technical University of Railway Transport and Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. The project was directed by Elena Gordina, Doctor of History, Head of the Department "Methodology, History and Philosophy of Science" at the Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University.
