Home - News RSS feed - UNN holds "Lobachevsky/RU" Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language

We invite international students of Russian universities to take part in the Olympiad of Russian as a Foreign Language "Lobachevsky/RU", which will be held at Lobachevsky University from March 10 to April 24, 2020. The Olympiad is intended for the following categories of participants, in terms of their knowledge of Russian:

  • Level A1;
  • Level A2;
  • Level B1;
  • Level B2;
  • Level C1;
  • Level C2.

To take part in the Olympiad, you should register on the website, fill in a participant questionnaire and perform online tasks of the first stage from March 10 to April 5. The Olympiad is held in two stages. The first stage is conducted in a distance mode and includes written tasks: writing a selection test to check the participants’ knowledge of the language and culture of Russia, and writing an essay on a socio-cultural topic. Tasks will be open on the website from March 10 to April 5. The website will also provide all the information about the Olympiad program and the participants admitted to the second stage. The second stage will be held in person on 24 April 2020. The final (in-person) stage includes a competition for improvisations and a round table. Situations for improvisations will be issued to participants at the in-person round (without preparation). The themes for the round table are as follows: "Amazing facts about my country", "Russia: 10 amazing facts".

After the final stage of the contest, the awarding ceremony of participants and winners of the Olympiad and the festival of national fairy tales "Panorama" will take place. The application form for participation in the parade can be found on theOlympiad website.
