UNN international students' team takes part in sports tournament

International students of Lobachevsky University took part in the 10th anniversary Nizhny Novgorod city inter-university tournament among international students in futsal and table tennis. The event was hosted by R.E. Alekseev Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University.

A total of 8 futsal teams from Nizhny Novgorod higher education institutions took part in the tournament.

In the men's individual table tennis competition, international students Mostafa Samy Mohamed Attia Baraka and Anton Hanna Serbana Hanna  of Lobachevsky University took 1st and 2nd place respectively.

"International students' participation in sports activities provides them with the necessary personal resources for successful adaptation. Physical education and sports activities help to ensure self-reliance and energy in overcoming difficulties related to the integration of international students in the host community, as well as emotional relaxation," said Egor Kolesnikov of the International Students Support Office.
