UNN international students volunteer at School Olympiad

Last week, School 800 hosted the regional stage of the All-Russian School Olympiad. It brought together some 200 school students from Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod region.

International students from the programme of social initiatives “I Care - I Can” of Lobachevsky University were involved as volunteers in organizing and conducting the Olympiad in cooperation with the Regional Centre for identifying, supporting and developing abilities and talents of children and youth.

Despite the tight academic schedule and the exam session, seven students from Egypt, Ecuador and Iran found some time for volunteering. They were happy to help school students navigate in a new environment, answered their questions, accompanied them from classroom to classroom, and created a comfortable and friendly atmosphere at the venue of the Olympiad.
