UNN is among the top 500 universities of the world in the 2019 Round University Ranking
On April 17, the results of the Round University Ranking (RUR) 2019 were published that show UNN’s noticeable progress: it now ranks 493th (a year ago – 504th). Lobachevsky University has improved its performance in all areas of activity, and the most significant improvement was achieved in the area “Quality of Teaching” – UNN rose from the 246th place in 2018 to the 195th position in 2019. In the Round University Ranking (RUR) 2019, Russia ranked second in the world in terms of the number of participating universities, it was second only to the United States.
According to UNN Acting Rector Kirill Markov, despite the tight competition in the global scientific and educational space and the increase in the number of universities participating in the rating, Lobachevsky University successfully maintains its positions in the world league of the best universities.
"In the context of the increasing complexity of the world educational space and the expansion of the range of educational programs offered by the world's leading universities, our indicators in the 2019 rating confirm the consistently high international level of education and research at our university," said Kirill Markov.
In the framework of the 2019 rating study, universities were subjected to a comprehensive analysis, which includes a system of 20 indicators that show university performance in various areas, including “Teaching”, “Research”, “Internationalization”, “Financial Sustainability”, etc.
Round University Ranking (RUR) has been published since 2010. During these years, more than 1000 leading universities of the world from 80 countries took part in the rating of RUR. The data provider for the RUR system is the international company Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters division for research and intellectual property).
