UNN is organising the Pushkin Week Festival in Latin America
The Pushkin Week Festival in Latin America is part of Lobachevsky University's extensive efforts to promote and popularise the Russian language, Russian culture, and education in Russian in foreign countries Lobachevsky University, together with the Latin American-Russian Association (ALAR), is organising the Pushkin Week Festival in Latin America. The festival's events, aimed at schoolchildren, students, and all enthusiasts of the Russian language and culture in Latin America, will take place from June 3 to June 6, in an online format.
UNN teachers will conduct open online classes on Russian as a foreign language, "Learning the Language of Alexander Pushkin," a lecture on "Alexander Pushkin's Fairy Tales," a conversation club "Reading Alexander Pushkin Together," and a virtual tour of the State Literary, Memorial, and Natural Museum-Reserve of Alexander Pushkin in Boldino.
The festival's programme also includes the creative competition "My Pushkin," which includes the following categories: a drawing competition for schoolchildren "My Favorite Pushkin’s Fairy Tale," a competition for recitations of Pushkin's works in Russian, and a vocal and musical competition. The results of the creative competition will be announced at the final event of the festival on June 6.
. UNN pays special attention to its cooperation with Latin American countries. Currently, the university has approximately 150 students from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru, El Salvador, and Ecuador. Also, Lobachevsky University annually co-organises the Festival of the Russian Language, Russian Science and Culture in Mexico City, which is held by the Latin American-Russian Association with the support of the Russian Cooperation Office in Mexico. Citizens of Latin American countries actively participate in the international Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language, "Lobachevsky/RU" and become winners in this competition.
