UNN presents key initiatives and concludes agreements at CIPR-2026
From May 18 to 21, the 11th conference "Digitalization of Industrial Russia" (CIPR) was held in Nizhny Novgorod. The event traditionally brought together representatives of government, business, scientific and startup communities. The theme of CIPR-2026 was digital industry as the basis for the Russian Federation’s technological sovereignty. The conference was held with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, as well as the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region. Lobachevsky University became a partner of CIPR-2026.
The university's participation in the forum confirmed the status of UNN as one of Russia’s leading scientific and educational centres, actively involved in shaping the digital agenda and developing technological entrepreneurship. As part of the conference business programme, representatives of Lobachevsky University took part in events that focused on the introduction of digital solutions in industry, training for the digital economy and commercialization of research results.
During the event, UNN Rector Oleg Trofimov also spoke at the session "Technologies for happiness. Creating, testing, enabling", presenting the project "Drivers of Digital Inclusion", implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Foundation and the Camerata Centre.
The university's participation at the conference resulted in the conclusion of a number of strategically important agreements. Sberbank, InfoWatch Group, Rostelecom PJSC, R7 JSC, and Gazinformservice LLC will become partners of the university in the modernization of IT education. The agreements with partners provide for the joint development of educational programmes with a focus on practical skills, the organization of internships and practical training, and the support of student research.
The agreement between UNN and TESLA Alliance will open up new opportunities for academic mobility, joint grants, and educational projects with research organizations in Serbia. All the signed documents aim to strengthen Lobachevsky University's role as a driver of technological development, from training in-demand professionals to the development of innovative products. The participation in the CIPR conference confirms the university's status as one of the leading platforms for dialogue between the academic community, the government, and business.
