Lobachevsky University took part in the ICPM conference and international exhibition on new technologies in medicine, education and pharmacy in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). It was organised by the Health Ministry of Sharjah and the Health Ministry of Dubai.

Organisations and manufacturers from all over the world presented their latest achievements. Russia was represented at the exhibition by the stand of Lobachevsky University.

Dr. Alexander Nikolsky,  research fellow at the Department of Control Theory and System Dynamics of the UNN Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics, demonstrated the Cardiomayak telemedicine service project and simulators for training cardiovascular surgeons.

"Telemedicine technologies are being widely implemented in healthcare practices around the world. In particular, in Dubai and Sharjah medical institutions, they are used routinely to monitor patients both in the early post-operative period and after discharge from hospital," said Alexander Nikolsky.

"We are now planning to provide some samples for testing. There has been interest from several clinics that have  cardiology and cardiovascular surgery departments. We are in talks with them about possible implementation of our product," said Alexander Nikolsky.
