UNN ranked among the world's top 500 universities for interdisciplinary research
Lobachevsky University has been included in the new global ranking. Times Higher Education, the ranking agency that produces the family of international university rankings, has for the first time released its new THE Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025, which measure universities' contribution and commitment to interdisciplinary science.
Interdisciplinary research brings together expertise from different subject disciplines to solve complex global problems. The ranking agency assessed the following parameters: funding for interdisciplinary research, including funding from the private sector; administrative support and promotion of such research; the number and quality of scientific publications at the junction of disciplines.
A total of 1023 universities (including 45 Russian universities) took part in the first edition of the ranking, of which 749 universities from 92 countries were listed. Lobachevsky University was ranked in the 401-500 interval in the world ranking and in the 9-12 interval among Russian universities.
