Deputy Head of the UNN International Cooperation Office Alexander Gorylev and Head of the UNN Centre for Technological Entrepreneurship Olga Chepyuk took part in the international scientific forum "Global Change: Challenges of Science and Education" in Almaty (Kazakhstan) that was held on October 6 and 7, marking the 30th anniversary of Turan University. This institution is one of Lobachevsky University’s key partners in Kazakhstan, which runs joint master's programmes in economics, management and law, as well as academic mobility programmes with UNN.

At the plenary session of the Forum, Alexander Gorylev made a report on the development of Russian-Kazakh cooperation in higher education, and presented a letter of congratulations from UNN Rector Elena Zagaynova on the 30th anniversary of Turan University, where she wished the faculty and students prosperity, good luck and triumphs in achieving new creative, educational, scientific and career goals, and successful implementation of their most ambitious plans.

In the course of the Forum, Olga Chepyuk conducted a training on generation of entrepreneurial ideas for faculty members of Almaty universities specialising in entrepreneurial education. She also presented a successful case of the Innograd Programme for the Development of the Youth Project Environment being successfully implemented at Lobachevsky University for the last 10 years.

As part of the project "Research of young people’s motivation to entrepreneurship: an international aspect", which is intended to determine levels of entrepreneurial readiness among students at Russian and Kazakh universities, UNN representatives conducted a questionnaire survey of Turan University students.

During the Forum, numerous meetings and talks were also held with the management of Turan University and its professors, and new opportunities for cooperation between the universities in the field of science and education were identified.
