On September 24, grant certificates of the Presidential Grant Competition for young Russian scientists were presented to the winners during a ceremony held at the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin. State support for young researchers holding doctoral degrees is one of the Russian Government's new initiatives, which has become a good tradition. The certificates were presented by David Melik-Guseynov, Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region and Health Minister of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

"Today, the tasks of scientific, technological and socio-economic development of the Russian Federation set by President Vladimir Putin require innovative technologies and new materials. That is why it is especially important to support young scientists and to give special attention to their research work. From this perspective, both the financial grant support provided by the government and the joint project activities at higher education institutions are of great importance. All this undoubtedly contributes to the rapid development of Russian science and to the achievement of our goals. I am very glad that these young scientists are working here in the Nizhny Novgorod region and are going to continue working here, and therefore, to develop our region," said David Melik-Guseynov.
