UNN signs strategic agreement at International Sports Forum
The 13th International Sports Forum "Russia: Country of Sports" took place in Samara from 5 to 7 November, serving as a major sports and business event that showcased Russia’s sports achievementsandvast opportunities for international cooperation.
At the plenary session of the Forum "Russia: Country of Sports", where President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin delivered a welcoming speech, Lobachevsky University reaffirmed its participation in the development of sports science and practice.
UNN, jointly with the Tchaikovsky State Academy of Physical Education and Sports and the Ski Jumping and Biathlon Federation of Russia, formed a consortium to develop and implement innovations in ski jumper training. The agreement was signed on behalf of Lobachevsky University by Mikhail Gryaznov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation. On the part of the partners, it was signed by Albert Demchenko, Acting Rector of the Tchaikovsky State Academy of Physical Education and Sports, and Dmitry Dubrovsky, President of the Federation.
At Lobachevsky University, the project is carried out by the Department of Sports Medicine and Psychology under the leadership of Svetlana Sokolovskaya. The goal of this project is to develop a unique set of methods for the psychological training of elite ski jumpers. Through this innovative project, advanced techniques for athletes' mental preparation will be scientifically justified and implemented, setting new standards for their success.
