Two students of Lobachevsky University, Daria Rusheva and Elizaveta Dudkina, have successfully passed their final examinations in the framework of the joint double-degree program in Economics and Management (between the UNN and the Grenoble Alpes University) and completed their studies with the award of the French Licence Diploma (equivalent to Bachelor degree). These students, who already studied for one semester during this spring at the Grenoble Alpes University, will also get their diplomas in Applied Computer Science from Lobachevsky University.

The joint program, which is managed by the UNN Center for International Education, has been running for seven years. During this time, 25 students took part in the program. The program is designed for graduate students of economics and management. Program courses are presented in English or French and include three integrated courses of the French Licence (Bachelor’s program): "Money and Finance", "International Economics", "Industrial Economics". The main goal of the program is to provide students with the opportunity to study for one year at the Grenoble Alpes University with the use of distance learning technologies without actually leaving Russia. Since the curricular subjects have been coordinated between Lobachevsky University and the Grenoble Alpes University, Russian students are enrolled directly to the final stage of the French Bachelor’s program. Their successful studies in the program ensure that they receive simultaneously two national diplomas of higher education: a Russian Bachelor's degree and a French Licence diploma. It should be noted that the French Licence diploma that stands for 180 ECTS credits offers its owner a great competitive advantage for future employment in Russian and foreign companies.
Most importantly, the Licence diploma provides an excellent opportunity for admission to Master's programs in French or any other European universities in the framework of the single European Higher Education Area. By enrolling in a distance learning program, each participant becomes a full student at the French partner university. French-speaking students have the opportunity to study for one semester in France, while for English-speaking students short training internships are envisaged. An indisputable advantage of the program is the possibility for continuous improvement of one’s proficiency in a foreign language, which serves as a tool for studying the relevant subjects in the field of economics and thus helps to train professionals focused on the international labor market. Registration for the program is open from April 15 to October 15.
