UNN students take part in the finals of the "Hackathon 2025" contest
On January 27-28, the finals of the project competition "Hackathon 2025" took place in Moscow, with 45 applications for projects and 40 ideas reaching this stage of the contest. Lobachevsky University was represented in the finals by three teams with their three projects:
1. The project "Monitoring system for public transportation". The team comprised students of the Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics: Sergei Blintsov, Vladislav Zaigraev and Daniil Roman.
2. The project "RadiCloud - creating a Saas system for the visualization of CT and MRI tomograms on any device, not necessarily a computer". The team leader is Evgeny Vasiliev, a postgraduate student of the Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics.
3. The poject "Biological preparation for increasing the productivity of depleted soils "Sunrise". Team members: Nikita Radchenko, student of the Institute of Biology and Biomedicine and Alena Gushchina, student of the Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship.
Contest participants developed IT solutions for the proposed topics in the format of brainstorming and group work. They also described their concepts of the project for the city of the future.
The jury evaluated the ideas and prototypes according to three main criteria: the possibility of an actual implementation of the proposed concept; the potential for international scaling; innovation and the impact on the quality of life in the new digital economy.
"I really enjoyed the event! Our team performed perfectly, but, unfortunately, it was very difficult to win in this tough competition. However, we are not upset and we are getting ready for the Microsoft Imagine Cup contest to be held in early March," says Sergey Blintsov from the UNN Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics.
"I am very glad that we got to the finals and had the opportunity to attend this event for young researchers. For me, the Hackathon in Skolkovo was an entirely new experience: at the beginning, it seemed impossible to realize the idea in just two days, but the atmosphere of advanced technologies and the spirit of rivalry made it possible to create a prototype that impressed the jury. After our presentation, jury members discussed with our team the prospects for the development and commercialization of our project. We established many new contacts in Skolkovo," comments team leader Evgeny Vasiliev.
