UNN students take part in the RuCode Artificial Intelligence Festival
The 5th All-Russian Artificial Intelligence and Programming Festival RuCode 5.0 concluded on April 24. Lobachevsky University was one of the organisers of this large-scale event.
For the first time in two years, the festival was held in the in-person format in 11 cities at once: in Dolgoprudny (Moscow region), Nizhny Novgorod, Irkutsk, Tomsk, Perm, Yekaterinburg, Tyumen, Izhevsk, Krasnoyarsk, Kursk and Petrozavodsk. In total, over 12 thousand programmers from 81 regions of Russia took part in the three stages of the RuCode 5.0.
The festival comprised three stages and included an educational part and a contest. At the first stage, everyone could take online courses in Artificial Intelligence and Algorithmic Programming. For more advanced and prepared participants in the second stage, intensive courses in the form of interactive lectures and practical exercises were offered by professors from Russia's best universities and experts from leading IT companies. The final stages of RuCode 5.0 were in the form of championships in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Algorithmic Programming.
Two teams, including students from the UNN Institute of Information Technologies, Mathematics and Mechanics, competed in the Algorithmic Programming championship held at Lobachevsky University.
Members of Lobachevsky University’s Presskachat team Denis Kulandin, Artyom Sukharev and Mikhail Burdukov solved 9 problems out of 13 and entered the list of winners of the championship. Konstantin Larin, Diana Alyaseva and Roman Mitin from the *NULL team solved 7 problems and were among those who won championship prizes.
