On July 3, the Summer Inter-university School on Computer Vision was opened at Lobachevsky University. The school is held at the UNN Institute of IT, Mathematics and Mechanics (ITMM) from July 3 to July 16, 2019 with the support of Intel Corporation. The summer school classes are organized in the framework of the long-term cooperation of Lobachevsky University and Intel.

Students taking part in the school have a unique opportunity to improve their skills in promising areas of modern computer technologies: machine learning, computer vision, and cognitive technologies. The school is focused on some highly relevant topics: computer vision, deep learning, neural networks, advanced software packages Intel® OpenVINO ™ and OpenCV.

It features a combination and transfer of practical experience of Intel engineers and academic experience of UNN teachers in the field of computer vision; traditional education (lectures and practical trainings) is combined with project work. School students have the opportunity to understand how project work is organized in large software development companies. Project curators are Intel engineers and UNN faculty members. The school has a flexible format of participation: full-time and part-time.

School participants include students and postgraduates of Lobachevsky University, Alekseev Technical University and Higher School of Economics. The school will contribute to improving the professional level of IT professionals in Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod region.
