UNN supports the All-Russian action “The Cross-Country Race of the Nation”

On September 19, the traditional All-Russian Running Day “The Cross-Country Race of the Nation” took place in Nizhny Novgorod. Its participants had to run routes varying from 800 m to 10 km. The event was held on the territory of the Victory Park and the embankment of the Rowing Canal. Hundreds of individual athletes and amateur runners, as well as entire work teams ran their distances. Many of Lobachevsky University students and staff also supported the significant initiative and took part in this sporting event. Olga Petrova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, who ran a 10 km distance, told us - with a smile and in great mood - how important sport is in the life of every person.
