UNN takes part in the Days of Nizhny Novgorod region in the Republika Srpska
On May 16-17, Lobachevsky University took part in the Days of the Nizhny Novgorod region in the Republika Srpska, held in Banja Luka (Republika Srpska, Bosnia and Herzegovina). Konstantin Kemaev, Head of the Center for Expertise of Foreign Documents on Education and/or Qualifications of the UNN International Affairs Department joined the delegation of leading Nizhny Novgorod universities headed by Sergey Zlobin, Minister of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Nizhny Novgorod region.
An exhibition of the Nizhny Novgorod region was opened on May 16 at the National Theater of the Republika Srpska showing the materials presented by Nizhny Novgorod universities. The delegation met with Natalija Trivić, Minister of Education and Culture, and Srđan Rajčević, Minister for Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republika Srpska to present educational programs and discuss possible areas of cooperation in the field of science, culture and education. The delegation also visited the University of Banja Luka, the Banja Luka gymnasium and the Russian Center in Banja Luka.
During the visit to the University of Banja Luka, issues of expanding scientific and academic cooperation were discussed with the leadership of the University (currently, UNN is implementing exchange programs with the Faculty of Philology of the University of Banja Luka). In the course of the visit to the Banja Luka gymnasium, a presentation about Lobachevsky University was made for its students. An agreement was reached with the director of the gymnasium, Vita Malešević, to develop cooperation based on UNN’s existing experience of cooperation with educational institutions of Serbia.
Some issues of interaction between the UNN and the Russian Center in Banja Luka were also discussed during the visit (including the selection of students for training at the UNN within the framework of the intergovernmental quota of the Russian Federation).
