UNN takes part in the educational exhibition in Kazakhstan

Lobachevsky University took part in the educational exhibition "Study in Russia" which was held at the Russian House in Astana (Kazakhstan) and gathered representatives of 55 Russian universities.

At this exhibition, Lobachevsky University was represented by Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Networking, and Alexander Gorylev, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Office. University applicants from Kazakhstan were introduced to educational programmes implemented at UNN, and also received detailed information about admission procedures for government-funded and self-financed education. A total of about 3,000 Kazakhstani school students attended the exhibition.

The exhibition also hosted a graduation ceremony for Lobachevsky University graduates from Kazakhstan, who recently completed their Master's programme in Journalism and Public Relations at UNN. On the sidelines of the event, Alexander Bedny and Alexander Gorylev held working meetings with the top officials of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Kazakhstan to discuss possibilities for potentially promising joint projects with the participation of Lobachevsky University.

Apart from that, Alexander Bedny and Alexander Gorylev held talks on cooperation with the management of two leading universities in the capital of Kazakhstan: Gumilev Eurasian National University (ENU) and IT University of Astana. At ENU, they discussed issues of cooperation between our universities in the field of IT, natural sciences, journalism and political science, including interaction within the framework of the Advanced Engineering School. At IT University of Astana, an agreement was reached on cooperation in ICT and related interdisciplinary areas (such as digital journalism and media technologies, IT medicine, cyber security, legal regulation of artificial intelligence and other fields).
