UNN takes part in the exhibition of Russian universities in Kyrgyzstan
The exhibition of Russian universities "Education in Russia - 2024-2025" was held in Kyrgyzstan at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after Boris Yeltsin. In parallel with the exhibition, a Forum of School Administrators "Russian Language in the School Education System" was also staged. It was attended by more than 250 school principals from all regions of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of leading universities and education experts from Russia and Kyrgyzstan. The events were organised by the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Kyrgyzstan with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyzstan and the Moscow Classics Foundation.
Lobachevsky University was represented at the exhibition and the forum by Vice-Rector for Strategic Development Nikita Avralev, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Elena Orlova, and Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Office Alexander Gorylev.
Over the 3 days of the exhibition, more than 100 school principals from different regions of Kyrgyzstan visited the UNN booth. In parrticular, Kyrgyz colleagues discussed the proposal to include the Chkalov school-gymnasium No.2 (Naryn, Kyrgyzstan) into the "University Education Cluster" of Lobachevsky University within the framework of the national educational initiative "Our New School".
Potential applicants - Kyrgyz school students - were most interested in such fields of study offered at Lobachevsky University as IT, Economics, Medicine, Law, and Psychology.
Besides, UNN officials took part in the round table of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Kyrgyzstan on the development of interaction between Russian universities and educational institutions of Kyrgyzstan, where they presented the successful experience of the Lobachevsky University Master's programme in the area of study "Psychology of Sport, Physical Culture and Healthy Lifestyle".
The UNN delegation also visited the Institute of Innovative Professions in Bishkek. During the meeting with the Institute’s management and its Rector Musapar Orzaliev, they discussed possible areas of cooperation between the two universities. A preliminary agreement was reached to open a representative office of UNN - Lobachevsky Lab - at the Institute of Innovative Professions in Bishkek.
