UNN team wins a bronze medal at the Student Hockey Challenge

From October 2 to October 7, the student hockey tournament among men's teams, one of the 2019 Winter Universiade test competitions, was held in Krasnoyarsk. Eight men's teams took part in the international tournament, including the winners of the Student Hockey Leagues from Russia, the USA, Asia and European countries. UNN hockey players Robert Ibragimov, Yegor Matianin, Andrei Krupkin, Nikita Kolesnikov, Nikita Yermilov, Yaroslav Zinovkin and Pavel Niskovskoy became members of Russia’s SHL West team. In a dramatic struggle, the players of the SHL West team managed to snatch the victory from the student team of the East with a score of 3:2, winning third place in the tournament. The Student Hockey Challenge tournament has been held under the auspices of the Student Hockey League of Russia and the European University Hockey League since 2017.
